Christmas and New Year’s approaching: how about buying your wine and champagne in Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is in celebration – The adoption of Bitcoin involves its acceptance as a means of exchanging goods and services. Today, the Vin-malin.fr website and the Luna project are taking one more small step forward by Bitcoin Trader allowing the purchase of bottles of wine through cryptomoney.

Vin-malin.fr becomes the first French website for online wine sales to adopt payments via Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH)

To launch this pioneering project, Vin-malin.fr has joined forces with LUNU Solutions, a technology start-up specialising in cryptocurrency payment systems.

„This association is a first step towards the democratisation of payments in bitcoins and encryption in the e-commerce of wine in France – a particularly dynamic sector at the forefront of digital trends. »
Massimo Moretti, Head of Partnerships at LUNU

We had already talked to you about LUNU with the jeweller Courbet de la Place Vendôme, since this crypto-payment solution had been chosen by this company to sell its jewellery.

Alcohol purchases on Vin-Malin.fr can be made via a secure widget, which will allow customers to instantly access the best crypto/euro exchange rate at the time of the transaction, so that they can make their payments in BTC or ETH in complete transparency.

„The LUNU widget will be very easy to use (…) speed of purchase is one of the main criteria for customer satisfaction. The professionalism and vision of LUNU Solutions appealed to us, and they offer an immediate payment in euros for purchases paid in Bitcoin. There will be no minimum order amount (…)“.
Jean-Christophe Gallois, Director of Operations of Vin-malin.fr

With the recent rise in prices, the purchasing power of bitcoins has strengthened. This is the ideal time to take advantage of it, by buying a few bottles of wine and/or champagne for the holidays or the coming New Year. But always in moderation, of course!
